Over the decades, the name Harley-Davidson has been synonymous with the Sturgis Rally. As the Rally has grown over time, Black Hills Harley-Davidson has grown along with it. Our most momentous step came in the summer of 2002 when the dealership moved to its present location at Exit 55 on Interstate 90 on the way to Sturgis.

At that point just weeks before the start of the 62 nd Annual Sturgis Rally, it became apparent that the new venue was going to be more than just a new dealership location. With a new vision and the desire to open up the event to everyone, the location and scale of the project grew into the current “Rally at Exit 55” venue that we now know. The move allowed not only a bigger building for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, parts, clothing, service and more, but a purpose designed rally venue to give all V-twin shoppers the Ultimate Rally Shopping experience.

Over the years we have continued to grow and refine the Vision and the Experience for all riders here at the Sturgis Rally. Starting in 2002 with 60 vendors and 15 acres we thought we had enough space. The rider response to the new venue was phenomenal and soon parking lot and building expansions became an almost yearly occurrence as The Rally at Exit 55 grew. Our flagship dealership building has grown to over eighty thousand square feet to provide you with everything Harley-Davidson. We have made huge investments into the property to maintain our position as the best vendor lot the V-twin industry has to offer. With a footprint of 40 acres, we are able to provide the venue for over 120 of the best Vendors to provide the best experience possible for the best riders in the country.

Our most recent news is the purchase of an additional 12 acres of adjoining property. This most recent purchase of the former “Black Hills Vendor Park” will allow us to continue to expand and enhance the “Exit at Rally 55” to even more riders. We welcome the many long-term vendors from the “top lot” into the Rally At Exit 55 family. We now have expanded our capacity to welcome many more offerings to both the Dealership lot and the Vendor Park today and in the years to come.
